Redundant Hosting at our Hardened Data Centers

Business class web hosting goes beyond renting excess disk space on a local web server. Your business requires a data center that was designed with the business customer in mind.

All BEST E-Systems hosted websites are resident on servers located in two state-of-the-art data centers, offering complete redundancy in power, HVAC, fire suppression, network connectivity, and security. Physical maintenance, security, and connectivity are managed by The Planet.

Why did we choose to outsource these critical services?

Because our business customers deserve the additional security, reliability, and redundancy offered by a professionally managed commercial data center. Compare our solution to the typical hosting company which is sharing space on the server in their back room.  A flood, a power surge, or even a good stiff wind will take their servers (and your website and email) down. Your service will become available whenever the local utilities or computer parts distributor can get them back up and running.

Our clients deserve more than that. Every one of our customers, from the smallest startup to the largest corporation, deserves to know that their website and email are secure and available, physically housed within a facility designed specifically to host the websites and application servers of the world's largest corporations.

Facility Specifications

The datacenter facilities sit atop multiple power grids driven by TXU electric, with PowerWare UPS battery backup power and dual diesel generators onsite. The HVAC systems are condenser units by Data Aire to provide redundancy in cooling coupled with ten managed backbone providers. Twelve more third party backbone providers are available in the building via cross connect. Fire suppression includes a pre-action dry pipe system including VESDA (Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus) with over 700 smoke detectors between the two facilities.

Network Infrastructure

Our network architecture utilizes the Enterprise routing and switching engines from Juniper and Cisco. We utilize Juniper M20 routers as border routers, Cisco 6500 series switches in our distribution layer and Cisco 6500 switches in our aggregation layers, and Cisco 3500 and 2900 series switches at the customer layer. Our network is fully meshed and redundant with 11 backbone providers.
