Your Domain Name - Your ID on the Web
The first step in creating your website is to select a domain
name. This is your identity on the web, and is the name by
which your customers will find you. The domain name
must also have an
extension such as
".com". The
combination of the domain name and extension must be unique
across the entire internet. Once you settle on an
available name, that name must be registered with a
registrar in order to reserve that name for your exclusive
use for the duration of your "lease".
BEST E-Systems can register your domain name for you for only $14.95/year.
If you are transferring your website to BEST E-Systems servers,
you can probably leave your domain at it's current registrar,
but we will need to modify the domain record, or "zone file".
Before we schedule your website transfer, we will make sure that
everything is ready with your domain host. If absolutely
necessary, we can transfer your domain as well.
